A confluence of events takes place this Saturday as the annual Historic Festival and Doors Open Edmonton kicks off for 2017 with a launch at the Sand on Whyte sand carving exhibit. Admission is by donation, allowing you to wander around and peruse the efforts by world-class sand carving artists, including Peter Vogelaar and Guy-Olivier Deveau. Meanwhile, Historic Edmonton will celebrate their week-long fest with a proclamation and the unveiling of a Canada 150 Mosaic.
